Café Rico is a local cafe, bar and restaurant located in the thriving gourmet neighborhood of Chapinero, in Bogotá, Colombia. An easy going and unpretentious place part of La Comuna, a concept store and project dedicated to promote Colombian and Latin American design through a building where everything is for sale. It aims to serve as a showcase for artists, artisans, designers and products. The expression “Qué Rico” is used in Colombia and Latin America as a recognition for something that is good or delicious; an experience, an encounter, a meal, an event, etc. We added the tagline “Qué Rico café Rico” in order We wanted to exemplify this by using the simplest, most common and known symbol: a smiley, one that embodies the attitude of the cafe. The visual identity channels their effortless and easy going attitude with a simple but energetic, vibrating, and inclusive identity.
